And this is sadly one of the flaws of Jaws Unleashed, that scenarios are build up differently, but play out in a samey way. They are varied, in their own way, and feel different from each other, while being technically very similar. For the first one, you siply must rip and tear at your target, an other one requires you to throw explosive barrels or you have to bait the enemy into ramming into certain objectives. The game also features several boss battles, which all have their own little gimmick. This particular level has a horror movie vibe to it, only that you are the monster everybody else is running from. In one level, you just must kill beach goers, in an other one, you have to destroy a chemical plant by throwing an explosive barrel into the sewage pipe and in a third one, you have to navigate and underwater mine field. The story missions are more linear and put you into different scenarios. You have the small open world segment of the ocean around Amity Island, where you can freely swim around, start story missions and minigames and kill and maim your heart out. The gameplay itself is a bit of mix of open world with instanced, linear levels and small survival elements. There is an ongoing narrative, but Jaws himself doesn't seem to have any agency on his own and just drops into places by accident, destroys them and then leaves. I have to admit, I never watched any of the movies, so I don't know how close the game follows the events of the game, but there isn't much of a story to begin with.

Jaws Unleashed is a tie in game to the movie, where you play as the titular shark and cause death and destruction around Amity Island.

The bloody has to be taken literally, because the game doesn't shy away from blood and gore, which makes it just better.
